Peonies

Peonies are a firm favorite at Spruce Flowers and Events. Available in both the spring and the fall — in spring we source them from Washington State and locally, and in the fall from New Zealand and Chile.

Peonies are relatively resilient and need a little encouragement to open and reveal their delicate petals. An insider tip: literally tap the flower heads on your workbench, recut the stems, and hydrate in hot water. We feature peonies in our Portland and Victoria arrangements, and they make frequent guest appearances in our Creative Director selections too.
